What the Bible says about Sexual Purity
God created sex for marriage between one man and one woman, for life. The devil has been trying to pervert it in every way possible, and the scriptures warn us that sin, although it is pleasurable for a season, when it is full grown it leads to death. Scripture specifically calls out homosexuality as an abomination, and Jesus in Matthew ch 5 calls out lust in the heart as bad as actual adultery. God wants us to live, and only in Christ is there life. We need Him every day to help us walk by the Spirit instead of the misdeeds of the flesh, being cleansed by Him and abiding in Him. Galatians 5 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.
